These programs give International students the opportunity to gain admission to a UWA degree if they do not have the academic qualifications or prerequisites required for direct entry.

UWA Foundation Program (UWAFP)

WA Universities’ Foundation Year (WAUFP)

Successful completion of this program guarantees you entry to one of the four WA universities, including UWA. The program is available through:

Group of Eight (Go8) universities foundation programs

Successful completion of foundation programs at other Go8 universities is acceptable for entry to an undergraduate degree at UWA (subject to meeting UWA entry requirements).

UWA Centre for English Language Teaching bridging courses

Canning College Diploma of Commerce (UWA Stream)

Developed jointly between Canning College and the UWA Business School, the Diploma was the first to be recognised by UWA for first year entry level credits, and allows students to articulate into the second year of UWA's Bachelor of Commerce.

Canning College’s diploma program supports UWA’s focus on quality, and students receive the tuition and support services necessary for success in the diploma program, as well as preparation for effective transition to university level studies. The intensive teaching styles, student support and small classes result in excellent success rates.

Taylors College diploma program

You can secure your entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Science Degree by successfully completing a diploma program developed in conjunction with Taylors College.

Taylors College Diploma of Commerce

The Diploma of Commerce is designed to give you extra support in your studies. It is an alternative to the first year of a bachelor degree. The diploma will give you the knowledge, skills and training needed to successfully enter the second year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree at UWA.

You will complete the following units of study: Accounting, Communication, Mathematics, Microeconomics, Business Statistics, Finance, Marketing Macroeconomic and Management. You can also study two majors from Accounting, Business Law, Economics Finance, Human Resources Management, Marketing and Management.

Taylors College Diploma of Science

The Diploma of Science provides an academic stepping stone to progress on to the second year of a Bachelor of Science degree at UWA. It is an alternative to the first year of a bachelor degree. You will be prepared for the transition to university through ongoing academic support, increased skills and knowledge.

You will complete the following units of study: Chemistry, Computing, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics and Communication. You can also study one major from Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics and Quantitative Methods.
