If your child is in Year 10 or above, they’re probably already thinking about their options after high school. The choice of whether to continue their education will be one of the most important of their life.
As a parent or guardian, you play a vital role in helping your child to understand their options and to make choices about their future. Here you can find all the information you’ll need to understand life at UWA.

Ways you can help
Start the conversation
Help them on their journey, and discuss with them the things they're good at and the things they enjoy doing, as well as those they don't. This can help inform their decision as to the type of degree they choose to study.
Get researching
Once your child has decided what they're interested in, it's time to gather information and do some research. You can help your child compare courses and find out about scholarships, entry requirements and pathways into UWA.
Learn about university life
UWA provides students with all the facilities they need to make a smooth transition to life after high school. Your child will have access to support services and can join a number of clubs, societies, sports programs, volunteering opportunities, events and activities on offer.
What are the costs?
Domestic students
A degree at UWA involves fees, which can be covered through the HECS system and repaid after graduation. If you’d prefer to assist your child, it is possible for fees to be paid at the time of study.
International students
International students at UWA are required to pay tuition fees for their study. Tuition fees are based on the course of study and increase annually. Semester fees are due by the first day of each semester.
Scholarships
UWA offers a range of scholarships for domestic and international students to assist with the costs of studying.
