UWA awards and scholarships applications open for 2008
This University has a long tradition of promoting, recognising and rewarding excellence within our community, and has a strong commitment to equity and access for students able to benefit from studying at UWA. Last year, over 400 students from schools across Western Australia received awards or scholarships that enabled them to study at the University of Western Australia. The awards and scholarships celebrate a diverse range of student achievements from academic excellence to community involvement.Applications for this year's UWA-Fogarty Foundation Awards and Scholarships program have now opened for students who intend to commence studying at UWA in 2008. Application forms are available from your school principal or on line at: http://www.scholarships.uwa.edu.au/home/undergrad.
Upcoming events & important dates
There are many dates in the UWA calendar that are of significant importance to both teachers and prospective students. These dates include events such as information sessions, lectures and expos as well as application cut-off dates.
UWay: A special entry scheme for TEE students
School-leavers and mature-age TEE applicants who believe their academic achievements in Year 12 have been adversely affected by certain disadvantages may apply for special consideration through the university's UWay scheme.
School presentationsSchool visits can be in the form of talks to groups of students, parent information evenings or career expos. During school visits our staff can provide information including specific course information, general admission requirements, how to choose TEE and courses of study subjects, student services, scholarships, special entry schemes and alternative pathways to university.
Study at UWA 2008 books
By now all schools in Western Australia should have received a delivery of 'Study at UWA 2008' prospectuses. Enough has been sent to each school to ensure that every year 12 student sitting the TEE can take home their own personal copy.

Use your MP3 players and Ipods for your TEE history revision! The University of Western Australia worked with Perth Modern School to produce some TEE History revision podcasts.
