Physical Science

Chemistry, geology and physics make up the physical sciences.

These most fundamental of sciences provide the basis for our understanding of the complex world about us, from the cosmological to the sub-nuclear scale, from the interplay of atoms and molecules to the collisions of continental plates.

Through addressing fundamental questions about the natural processes in the universe and on planet Earth, these sciences drive the development of new technologies.

In the Bachelor of Science (Physical Science) program, you complete at least one of the following majors:

Level 1
At Level 1 you will study mathematics plus at least two of physics, chemistry and earth science (geology).

Level 2
In Level 2 you will study units chosen from chemistry, physics, mathematics and geology, leading to at least two majors.

Level 3
In Level 3 you will complete one or two of the majors offered, plus approved electives if required.
