I am currently studying The University of Western Australia Foundation Program in Perth. It has been seven months since I first came here.
The homesick and unfamiliar feelings have now been replaced with great friends and wonderful memories. Taylors College is like a small world.
I have friends all over the world: Africa, Europe, America and Asia. They are all friendly, funny and caring. I also have many friends from Vietnam which I consider to be my small Vietnamese family in Perth. They have helped me from the first day that I arrived. Now they are my encouragement and my happiness while I am away from home.
Studying at Taylors has given me the opportunity to extend my knowledge in so many subjects. All the teachers are wonderful. They are so funny, so enthusiastic and so lovely. Their unique way of teaching no longer makes me feel stressed and tired of studying. They all try their best to help us approach new concepts in the easiest manner. My teachers and their enthusiasm are the great stimulation I use to go to school everyday.
Living in Perth is also a precious life experience for me. I have learnt how to live by myself. I share a house with my friends and cook on my own. In addition, I have a part-time job which helps me to improve my English, it is also great earning money each week, so I can enjoy buying something for myself.
Perth is beautiful and peaceful. It has so many beautiful beaches which remind me of my hometown of Quangninh in Vietnam. I love sitting under the shade of trees in parks, listening to the singing birds; it is so peaceful!
