Application Procedure

The application processes are different for onshore and offshore applicants.

The International Centre is now accepting applications for the 2010 February intake.

There is no intake in July for this program.

We will accept applications for medicine and dentistry from 2 March until 30 June 2009.  Please note no late applications will be accepted after this date.

The selection process for entry to the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and the Bachelor of Dental Science is based on three components:

Component OneAcademic results

All applicants need to meet the minimum academic requirements in order to remain in consideration for a place. The minimum entry requirements are listed by course.

Component TwoA written selection test

A written selection test called the ISAT (International Students Admissions Test). All students are required to sit the ISAT test before 30 June in order to be considered for entry in 2010. Information about the ISAT test, sample questions and online registration is available on the Australian Council for Education Research website.

Component ThreeA structured interview

All applicants need to attend an interview.  International students residing in Australia and New Zealand must attend their interview in Perth in person.  Applicants residing outside of Australia may have the opportunity to be interviewed in Singapore and Malaysia.

Application procedures vary slightly, depending on whether the applicant is residing offshore (in a country other than Australia) or onshore (in Australia) in the year 2009, however it is important for you to remember that our application deadline for medicine and dentistry is 30 June 2009 and that you must have sat the ISAT by this date as well.

There are up to 25 medicine places and up to 6 dentistry places available for eligible international applicants.

Students can view the core and optional units (subjects) currently studied over the six years by referring to our handbook for both medicine and dentistry.
