Computer and Mathematical Sciences

The increasing application of computer technology and analytical methods in both the public and private sectors have made the study of Computer Science and Mathematics or Statistics a starting point for many career paths.

Students complete two majors, which means they study two subject areas in depth for three years. One major must be chosen from Computer Science and Software Engineering or from Mathematics and Statistics (see under Majors Available), and the second major may be in Computing or Mathematics or in almost any other discipline offered by the University, subject to approval by the Faculty.

Majors include:

  • Applied Mathematics
  • Applied Statistics
  • Computation
  • Entertainment Technologies
  • Mathematical Statistics
  • Mathematical Sciences
  • Pure Mathematics
  • Software Management
  • Systems
  • Web Technolgies
