The standard definition is currently under review. Applicants are encouraged to regularly check our website for further updates.
Apply through UWay if you believe your preparation for TEE or equivalent would have been better had you not experienced disadvantages.
Standard applicants are usually school leavers.
Specifically, they are students who, no more than two years before the year for which entry is sought, qualified for entry to UWA by completing at least four subjects at the WA TEE (or interstate/New Zealand equivalent) over not more than two consecutive years.
Applicants who have completed their secondary schooling overseas may still qualify in the standard quota if their qualifications are comparable and equivalent to the WA TEE.
Applicants must not have previously enrolled at any tertiary institution or, if they have enrolled, they must have withdrawn prior to obtaining a result.
Withdrawal from a unit or course with academic penalty is considered a result, as are failed units/courses and failures due to non-completion.
