Applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree, or who are expecting to complete a bachelor's degree by the end of the year in which they apply, are not eligible to apply for the six-year undergraduate entry medicine course.
They will instead need to apply for graduate entry medicine.
However, applicants with this level of tertiary education will remain eligible to apply for dentistry.
Non-standard applicants are those with incomplete bachelor's degrees.
They also include Australian or New Zealand citizens, or Australian permanent residents who have completed their secondary education outside Australia or New Zealand and whose secondary qualifications cannot be converted to a WA TEE.
Applicants applying to the Bachelor of Dental Science can also apply on the basis of a completed Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene or an Associate Degree in School Dental Therapy from Curtin University of Technology (or interstate equivalent). However because these courses are not at Bachelor level, students with these qualifications are not normally as competitive as students who have undertaken bachelor level study.
