Find our course eligibility scores on the TISC website and the government's Going to Uni website.
The University's special entry schemes may allow you to be considered for entry to UWA, even if your TER (ATAR) is below the University's minimum.
It's important to understand cut-off scores and how they may affect your chances of being offered a place.
A cut-off score is that of the lowest-ranked WA Certificate of Education (WACE) or Tertiary Entrance Examination (TEE) (or interstate or New Zealand equivalents) applicant admitted to the course.
The minimum TER (ATAR) for eligibility to any UWA course is 80.00. That is, you need a TER (ATAR) equal to or higher than 80.00 to be considered for a place at UWA. However, many UWA courses have higher academic requirements.
The cut-off for a particular course will depend on the number of applicants and the standard of those applicants. These scores are driven largely by demand: if there are more applicants than places available, then the cut-off score will be higher.
For most courses we now also provide a minimum tertiary entrance rank, or 'Indicative TER (ATAR)'. These ranks reflect the score at which UWA would have been prepared to make an offer for a particular course in the main round of offers.
