It is very important that you make this a topic of discussion at the application phase, so that you can begin candidature with a realistic expectation of the facilities and resources available.
In the context of your research, facilities and resources can include (among other things):
At the application stage, the Head of School is required to make certain declarations on your application form regarding facilities and equipment needed by you. These will be taken into account by the Graduate Research and Scholarships Office. It is important that you are as clear as possible about what special equipment and resources you believe will be necessary to carry out your research and to communicate this to your prospective supervisor and Head of School.
More information on resources is available on the Graduate Research and Scholarships Office site.
