The Western Australian Government provides a limited number of places in government schools for dependent school-aged children of international Master's and PhD students, if they meet the criteria set by the Department of Education.
If they do not meet the criteria, school-aged dependents may be enrolled in a registered non-government school. If eligible, a place will be found in a government school under this arrangement.
- You must make arrangements for schooling through the International Centre after arrival in Australian and should not approach schools directly
- Any school-aged dependents accompanying an international postgraduate student to Australia and not eligible for a place in the program will be required to pay full fees, if they are enrolled in either a government or non-government school, or if additional support is required once enrolled.
- An indication of the fees can be found on the WA Government's Education and Training International website
The International Centre is able to provide guidance and advice. Please do not contact the Faculties directly.
