The application process is different for:

  1. Postgraduate Coursework and Research Degrees
  2. Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS), Scholarships for International Research Fees (SIRF) and International Research Fee Scholarship for China (IRFSC) only

1. Applications from International Students for Postgraduate Coursework and Research Degrees


Applicants for postgraduate coursework and research degrees should complete the application form.

All future postgraduate students, whether you are applying for a coursework or research degree, should submit your application to the International Centre if you are:

  • a private self-supporting student
  • sponsored by their home government, university or employer
  • an external scholarship
  • any other applicant for full-fee admission.

Students applying for postgraduate degrees in Psychology are required to fill out an additional form and submit this together with the form above.  The form for postgraduate Psychology applications can be found on the School of Psychology website.

All research applicants are required to provide additional information


2. Applications for International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS), Scholarships for International Research Fees (SIRF) and International Research Fee Scholarships for China (IRFSC)


The purpose of the Endeavour IPRS, the UWA SIRF scheme and the China Scholarships is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas in which the University has specialised research strengths and to support Australia's research effort. Successful applicants can expect to become members of a research team working under the direction of senior researchers and in an area which has attracted external resources.

There is a different application process for IPRS, SIRF and IRFSC applicants. Scholarship applicants should consult the complete the Scholarships website for key dates and complete the online application form.
